There are opportunities for enthusiastic people with business skills to act as mentors for new businesses and for people with a whole range of skills (including craft-related, gardening, woodworking, catering, as well as skills related to confidence-building) for our self-reliant groups.
There are also opportunities to train to be facilitators of self-reliant groups.
It’s been an absolute pleasure to discover Purple Shoots and gain invaluable support during a phase of business growth. Applying for a business loan to fund a move to a bigger office was smooth and straightforward, while Karen is warm, knowledgeable and professional in all she does. Through Purple Shoots I have also been introduced to an extremely experienced and thoroughly lovely mentor, who is by far more qualified to advise and guide than mentors from any other programme I’ve encountered. It’s also refreshing to find an organisation so firmly grounded in its community, with the interests of its customers genuinely at the core of all it does - I can’t recommend Purple Shoots highly enough!
