OUR WHY (Mission) – what is the problem we are solving?
We exist because poverty exists in our society and people who want to escape poverty, isolation and marginalization are frequently held back behind barriers which are removeable.
WHAT – the vision – the future we want to see
We believe that no one in society should be left behind and we want to see everyone across the UK with access to opportunities for economic growth and independence, to be able to be contributors to their communities and to create their own pathways to a better life.
HOW – the actions we take to make this a reality
Through self-reliant groups and other wrap around support, we enable people to create their own pathways away from isolation and disadvantage towards income generation and work, and for those wanting to try their own business, we offer small ethical loans to make it possible.
Many of society’s problems have their roots in poverty and insufficient income. By enabling people to create an independent income we are tackling many other issues such as economic inactivity, poor mental health, indebtedness, child poverty, and re-offending, at their cause, creating sustainable change.
